Since middle school, Lin Manuel-Miranda's musical works within the Hamilton Broadway musical have riveted Daniel. He composed his first piece ever, "Origin," after being inspired by "Dear Theodosia," which he learned by ear. Daniel also included a violin part created on the musical notation software, MuseScore.
